Joie Littleton is a recent graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in Film Studies and Public Relations. Joie credits her love for film to her mother, who introduced her to the classic films on Turner Classic Movies, in which she fell in love with films like, “The Wizard of Oz,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “Swing Time,” to name just a few of many. After graduating high school, Joie moved to Oregon for a change of scenery, to pursue a degree in Film and Journalism.  It was there that she began to develop more technical skills in the range of video production, and is currently seeking to expand her editing chops as an assistant editor.  Joie’s passion for all things cinema wouldn’t be complete without mentioning her other love for museums and archival work. She is equally passionate about film history and how film can be used as a tool for education. Joie is not only interested in making films but keeping them alive! Volunteering with New Filmmakers LA every month has been a rewarding experience and Joie is eager to continue supporting their efforts to highlight diversity in storytelling.
