We will discuss the integral role that a costume designer plays in a project’s production and what it takes to be one, her process for design through historical accuracy and detail, and her expansive career across both film and TV, including design for projects like Waitress, Insidious 4, My Best Friend’s Exorcism, and the iCarly reboot.

About Ariyela Wald-Cohain:
Ariyela Wald-Cohain is an accomplished Emmy Award-winning Costume Designer with a diverse background. Her extensive portfolio includes internationally acclaimed features, TV shows, pilots, commercials and music videos. Some of her notable credits include films such as “Waitress”, ”Insidious 3”, “Naked”, “MyBest Friends Exorcism”and “Fifty Shades of Black”. Ariyela’s TV credits include: “Icarly”(Reboot), “Marlon”, “South Side”, Lisa Kudrow’s ”Web Therapy” and “Sherman’s Showcase”, earning Ariyela an Emmy for Outstanding Costume Design in Variety or Reality TV.
With her years of experience in different media and her multi-cultured and colorful background, Ariyela brings an understanding of historic accuracy and detail to each character that she designs. Ariyela is not only creative but understands the importance of storytelling, communication, budget, and teamwork. She has a passion for Costume Design and life, which shines through, in all of her work.
