NFMLA Panel | Short & Feature Filmmaking with Filmmakers Alliance

Join NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) and Filmmakers Alliance for a conversation with filmmakers who have moved from short filmmaking to feature filmmaking. Panelists including Shaz Bennett (Alaska is a Drag, which played at NFMLA’s monthly film festival and went on to earn a Best of NFMLA Award in 2019 for Best Screenplay), Calvin Lee Reader (The Rambler), and Roger Mayer (Antibirth, Brutal Season) will discuss their careers transitioning from short to feature filmmaking, the process of directing and producing indie films, and advice for emerging filmmakers and short filmmakers who want to start directing features. This panel will be moderated by Jacques Thelemaque, co-Executive Director of the Los Angeles-based film community Filmmakers Alliance.
